A guide to wearing color at any age

Cardigan, £ 375 and cream handbag, £ 695, both J&M Davidson; Navy blue pants, that of Ginnie, available at Cos; Navy blue moccasins, those of Ginnie, available at Church’s. Camel top, £ 75, Boden; Jeans, £ 69, Albaray
So today, class, we are focusing on color-block knitting. âColor blockingâ is fashion lingo for âwearing a maximum of three bright colors in one outfitâ. You can color it up by donning a blue shirt with teal pants. Or a cream shirt with a red skirt and a camel jacket. Or just find a top that does it all for you. No patterns, zero frills, just bold and beautiful. (By the way, I’m not the type to buy trends, but suddenly it is and it’s really pretty easy, very accessible, and refreshingly convenient.)
I approached this from two price points. The first being a navy cashmere-merino blend cardigan (£ 375) with a bold horizontal stripe from J&M Davidson, a brand I’ve been reunited with recently on some work projects, which is also doing some work. ‘excellent handbags. (I mean, really excellent.) The second take on the trend is Boden’s, and at £ 75 this cotton-merino blend is broken down into just the right ratio of camel to navy to cream to tomato red. Oh my God, that’s four colors – but they’re sane colors in sane proportions.
