Although the coronavirus pandemic has changed the way we live, some things will never change. For this reason, more and more people are turning to life insurance companies to better prepare themselves and their loved ones against all things unavoidable.

In a 2021 survey commissioned by AIA Group, the parent company of AIA Philippines based in Hong Kong, the majority of Filipinos acknowledged the severe impact that COVID-19 has had on their well-being, not only in terms of physical and mental health, but also on their social life and financial security.

Around 71% of respondents said the pandemic had a negative effect on their personal/family finances, mainly due to massive layoffs, limited economic activities and lower business confidence, with an average reduction income measured at 29%.

This is expected to continue for some time, despite efforts by local and national governments to gradually reopen the economy, as more Filipinos believe the ongoing public health crisis will last past 2021 (82%) or end. will even extend beyond 2022 (50%).

Despite the bleak outlook, the same survey found that more people became aware of their spending habits during the pandemic, with more respondents planning to either save more or buy an insurance product as soon as possible. they will recover financially.

At least 77% agree to set aside more of their income to help them deal with future uncertainties and other life emergencies, saying that despite their low confidence in reaching their target amount right now, they will seek ways to reach their savings goals.

This renewed interest in practicing financial discipline among the majority of consumers is an encouraging sign for the financial services sector, in particular, since 75% of them strongly agree that saving for better protection in the event of unforeseen circumstances deserves equal priority.

Therefore, the demand for a comprehensive insurance product that can adapt to the client’s needs is likely to increase over the years, which AIA Philippines is more than happy to meet with its latest product, AIA All -In-One Plus.

“AIA All-In-One Plus is a comprehensive whole life insurance plan linked to variable units with additional benefits. It protects the insured against four major perils: death, accident, disability and critical illness,” Tennyson Paras, Associate Product Manager AIA Philippines, said of their latest offering.

“The product comes with enrollment in the AIA Vitality program to promote better health in our customers. When you get AIA All-In-One Plus, you’re not only protected against all four risks, but you’re also rewarded for living a healthy life,” added Paras.

Erin Verde, a single mother in her 30s who works as a creative professional in the gig economy, decided to buy life insurance three years ago to help ease her financial anxiety. She was forced out of her job in 2020 to take a mental health break. In early September this year, she was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer, but could not rely on her insurance company for help, as critical illnesses are not covered by her insurance policy. This left Erin disappointed that she hadn’t taken advantage of a policy that offered more comprehensive coverage.

It is precisely these types of customer concerns that AIA Philippines hopes to address with its comprehensive AIA All-In-One Plus plan, which goes beyond basic insurance. Not only does this improve your protection, but it also helps you live healthier and even prepares you for financial growth with a portion invested in the investment funds of your choice.

With its Double Vitality Booster feature, the AIA All-In-One Plus can help policyholders lead a healthier lifestyle and to improve their future claims and other benefits. AIA Vitality allows you to enjoy rewards to know and improve your health.

Improving future protection is never too late for someone like Erin or anyone who hasn’t yet signed up for an insurance plan. There’s no better time than now to start building a strong foundation with double protection through the comprehensive benefits of AIA All-In-One Plus, and have peace of mind now, so you can live a healthier, longer and better life later.
