Redmond senior center to host Healthy Living Fair next week
REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) — The Redmond Senior Center will host its first annual “Healthy Living Fair” on Tuesday, April 12 from 1-4 p.m. The Healthy Living Fair focuses on health and wellness for seniors to learn and gain resources to age well.
There will be educational workshops, healthcare organizations providing resources, health screenings, fitness demonstrations, healthy refreshments and even a colon tour!
This is a great opportunity to learn more about health and wellness companies; to increase your health awareness through wellness screenings; gain resources in the community; learn about healthy lifestyle changes; and gain valuable insight into positive self-care practices.

Todd Dickerson, Executive Director of the Redmond Senior Center, said, “We couldn’t be happier to host an event like this in person and provide our community with the resources and support it needs to age well. The past two years have been tough for everyone, and even tougher for our seniors. It’s time to rethink healthy living, and we want to be the place where everyone feels comfortable asking those questions, getting the resources they need, and sharing healthy activities together.
The Redmond Senior Center was started by volunteers over 70 years ago (1949) when Redmond’s population was less than 3,000. It continues to function as the “hub” and the only resource in Redmond focused entirely on seniors. It is an independent, non-profit organization supported solely by members, public and private grants, corporations, occasional special events, donations, and countless volunteer resources. It does not receive tax revenue and is not operated by the City of Redmond or the Redmond Area Parks and Recreation District.
