Samaritan welcomes Lucien Megna MD
Lucien Megna, MD joined Samaritan Health Center – Newport. It provides primary care to people of all ages.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University and an MD from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in General Surgery at St. Francis Medical Center and in Family Medicine and Public Health at the University of Florida Health Science Center – Jacksonville.
Dr. Megna specializes in joint injections, lesion removal, cast and splint, nutrition, and exercise therapy.
He became a doctor to promote healthy lifestyles and improve patients’ quality of life.
“I value health and happiness,” he said.
Previously, Dr. Megna was a team physician for the Tri-City Americans Hockey Club and the Tri-City Fever Arena Football Team. He has also been active in state and national medical associations.
Dr. Megna chose Samaritan for its dedication to patient care and medical training program.
“A university environment produces confident and competent people and doctors,” he said.
In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, kitesurfing, pickleball, golfing, biking, traveling and reading. He is the father of two “fantastic children”.
